Mrs. Kennedy received this set of cabochon pearl brooches as a Christmas gift from her mother, Janet Lee Bouvier Auchincloss, in 1954. She wore the pins often, together and separately, notably during Senator John F. Kennedy’s campaign for the presidency, and later during a meeting of Fine Arts Committee of her famous White House restoration.
