Jacqueline Kennedy's Triple Strand Faux Pearl Necklace
$125.00
Jacqueline Kennedy adored faux pearls, and was photographed wearing many different styles. The Triple Strand Faux Pearl Necklace was the one she wore most frequently. It is believed that the original was designed by Coco Chanel, and that Mrs. Kennedy inherited the necklace from her mother, Janet Lee Bouvier Auchincloss. Chanel's design featured irregular spacing between the strands of handmade glass pearls, allowing the lowest string to be pulled up and through the upper strings for a unique, sophisticated look. Our exquisitely detailed reproduction Jacqueline Kennedy Triple Strand faux Pearl Necklace is a faithful adaption of Mrs. Kennedy's original. 158 hand-painted Czech glass faux pearls have been strung on hand-knotted, silken cords. The necklace is finished with a rhodium-plated Art Deco style clasp, set with 14 Swarovski crystals. Each necklace is packaged in a gorgeous custom designed steel and velour gift box, and includes an exclusive Kennedy Museum education card which details the history of the necklace. Inner length of the necklace is 17 inches, outer length is 20 inches. - Jacqueline Kennedy's Triple Strand Faux Pearl Necklace.
