This gorgeous image- from an original advertisement designed by the Martin Agency- celebrates the "Moon Shot," the JFK Library and Museum's special exhibit commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the Moon Landing, a goal which President Kennedy urged the nation to meet and one he helped make a reality. As seen in New York Magazine, People Magazine, Executive Travel, and The Week! The Apollo 14 splashdown on February 9, 1971 has been merged with an excerpt from Kennedy's Special Message to Congress on Urgent National Needs, on May 25, 1961: "I believe that this nation should commit itself to the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the Moon and returning him safely to earth." The caption reads, "Every Kennedy speech made a splash. Some just more than others." Each photograph has been handsomely matted with acid free materials and is ready to frame or display as is.
