Andrew Jackson Presidential China
$46.00 - $150.00
Although he is remembered as a President given to rowdy festivities and "backwoods" manners, Andrew Jackson did his best to equip the White House with the finest in dinnerware. Always the patriot, Jackson tried very hard to find a suitable porcelain firm to make his White House china in the United States. But it was to be some years before American craftsmanship advanced to that level. Thus, like most other presidents of that era, Jackson commissioned his china from France. The 440-piece dinner service was decorated with the American eagle and made to order to suit Jackson's needs. Crafted in the Woodmere Studio in Western Pennsylvania, our reproduction Jackson dinnerware is made from the finest materials. Each piece is hand decorated with an attention to detail and craftsmanship reminiscent of a bygone era, and is meant to be used and enjoyed. - Elegant Porcelain Dinner Plate, Dessert Plate, and Teacup & Saucer.
