Coconut Paperweight
Quantity:
Replica of the coconut husk used by John F. Kennedy to lead rescuers to where he and his crew were stranded on Nauru Island after his boat, PT-109, was struck by the Japanese destroyer Amagiri on August 2, 1943.
The original husk was later returned to JFK, which he had encased in wood and used as a paperweight. A treasured memento, the coconut husk was on his desk in the Oval Office throughout his presidency.
